She is survived by 2 sons, James Thompson of Richmond, MO., and Jeffrey Thompson of Urbana. Also surviving are one daughter Vicki Wilson of Kenilworth, Ill, and 2 brothers; Stanley Hathaway of Cheyenne, WY, and Milton Knapp of Lake Mills, WI.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 3 brothers.

She was a member of University Methodist Church in Urbana.

Visitation will be on Friday from 5 – 8pm, and on Saturday from 7:30 – 11am, at the Welge – Pechacek Funeral Home in Chester. There will also be a Military Graveside service of V.F.W. Post 3553, of Chester. A funeral service for Lila Thompson, of Urbana, formerly of Chester will be at 11am, Saturday at Welge – Pechacek Funeral Home. The Rev. Pat Smith will officiate and burial will be in at Evergreen Cemetery.
