Born March 20, 1902 in Blair, the son of Dietrich and Dora Otte Uchtman. He married Alma Duensing on January 12, 1926 in Bremen and she preceded him in death. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Emilie Kay and Gilbert Roehrkasse of Steeleville and Alma Fay and Leonard Lukasik of Wildwood, Missouri. One daughter in law, Lucille Uchtman of Steeleville. One brother and sister in law, Raymond and Margarete Uchtman of Long Island, NY. 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one great great grandson also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son, three brothers and two sisters. Friends may call after 5pm Saturday at the Wilsons Funeral Home in Steeleville. Funeral Services for Elmer Uchtman will be Sunday afternoon at 2pm at St. John Lutheran Church in Bremen with Rev. Edwin Reuter officiating, burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Randolph County American Cancer Society or to St. Johns Lutheran Church of Bremens General Fund. |
