Clarence Tuthill

Funeral services will be Tuesday for 81-year-old Clarence Tuthill of Brighton, Illinois, formerly of Chester, who died Saturday at Robings-Manor Nursing Home in Brighton.

Born Mach 13, 1918 in Vergennes, Illinois, the son of Clarence and Mary (Walker) Tuthill. He married Opal Meyerhoff on October 26, 1940 in Cape Girardeau and she preceded him in death.

Survivors include one son, Scott of Baldwin, IL. One daughter, Sue Grissom of Brighton. Three grandsons also survive.

His parents, wife and one brother preceded him in death.

Funeral services for Clarence Tuthill will be Tuesday afternoon at 2pm at the Schroeder-McClure Funeral Chapel in Chester with Rev. Mark Willig officiating, burial will be in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Baldwin, IL.

Memorials can be made to the St. John Lutheran Church of Chester’s redecorating fund.
