Funeral services will be Saturday, February 16, 2002 for 47-year-old Mike Diercks of Chester, IL who died Tuesday, February 12, 2002 at his residence in Chester, IL.

Born October 26, 1954 in Red Bud, the son of Wilbert and Hilda (McMath) Diercks. He married Cherie Sipole on October 15, 1983 in Ellis Grove, IL and she survives of Chester, IL.

Also surviving are his parents, Wilbert and Hilda Diercks of Chester, IL. Three sons, Kristopher, Brent and Aaron Diercks of Chester, IL. Three sisters, Brenda Weber and Joan Gross both of Chester, IL and Jean Schroeder of Steeleville, IL. His grandmother, Lucy McMath of Chester, IL also survives as well as nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and paternal grandfather.

Friends may call after 3pm Friday, February 15, 2002 at the Welge-Pechacek Funeral Home in Chester, IL.

Funeral services for Mike Diercks will be Saturday, February 16, 2002 at 10am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ellis Grove, IL with Deacon Al DuBois officiating. Burial will be in the Ellis Grove City Cemetery in Ellis Grove, IL.

Memorials can be made to a College Fund for Brent and Aaron Diercks or in the form of Masses.
