Funeral services will be Saturday, September 4, 2004 for 90 year old George Ritter of Chester, IL who passed away Wednesday September 1, 2004 at St. Ann’s Healthcare Center in Chester, IL.

He was born December 18, 1913 in Todd’s Mill, IL, the son of Casper and Mary (Ruppert) Ritter. He married Clementine Young on September 26, 1944 and she preceded him in death. He then married Launeta Klein on August 24, 1985 in Chester, IL and she survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Michael Ritter of Chester, IL and Donald Ritter of Steeleville, IL. One sister, Clara Schuermann of St. Louis, MO. Four grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, two brothers, one sister and one grandson.

Friends are calling after 5pm Friday, September 3, 2004 at the Schroeder McClure Funeral Chapel in Chester, IL.

Funeral Mass for George Ritter will be Saturday, September 4, 2004 at 10am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chester, Il with Father Gene Wojcik officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Masses at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chester, IL, to St. Mary’s Catholic School, Cardinals Glennon Children’s Hospital or to Donor’s Choice.
