Funeral Mass will be Saturday, November 25, 2006 for 79 year old Cleo Shemonic of Chester, IL who passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at St. John Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, MO.
She was born December 12, 1926 in Rockwood, IL, the daughter of James and Lucy (Kerkhover) McMath. She married John Shemonic, Jr. on July 11, 1946 in Chester, IL and he preceded her in death on February 14, 1993.
Survivors include three sons, Wayne Shemonic of Ellis Grove, IL and Ronnie and John Shemonic both of Chester, IL. One daughter, Bonnie Miller of Chester, IL. Four brothers, Rudy Pahich of St. Louis, MO, Oscar McMath of Branson, MO, Wilbert McMath of Waterloo, IL and Gilbert McMath of Chester, IL. Three sisters, Hilda Diercks of Chester, IL, Ramona Lolan of Red Bud, IL and Juanita Bleem of Walsh, IL. 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three brothers.
Friends are calling from 3pm to 8pm on Friday, November 24, 2006 and from 7:30am to 10:45am Saturday, November 25, 2006 at the Welge Pechacek Funeral Home in Chester, IL.
Funeral Mass for Cleo Shemonic will be Saturday, November 25, 2006 at 11am from St. Maryís Catholic Church in Chester, IL with Father Gene Wojcik and Deacon Al DuBois officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorials can be made in the form of Masses or to donorís choice.
